After being selected, our school received a beautiful AED with outdoor cabinet sponsored by the
Saving Lives Foundation

The AED is publicly accessible for the entire neighborhood on the outside wall of the school and the children delivered a letter to all the houses in the neighborhood about the arrival of the AED and additional information about resuscitation.

We thank Public Primary School De Bogerd for their efforts to promote resuscitation.

Stichting Ambulance Wens Nederland is a Dutch foundation consisting of 270 medically trained voluntary workers who fulfill last wishes of terminally ill patients who are immobile and dependent on transport by ambulances, which are specially designed and developed for this purpose.

In a multicultural neighborhood in this village, people are really taking care of each other. In august 2022, there happened to be a victim with a cardiac arrest. Because of quick reaction of neighbors via the vicil CPR volunteer program HartslagNu, the inhabitant survived the CPR, although the nearest AED was located 8 minutes away from their village.

With this AED, the village of Horst will be more heartsafe than ever! And we have heard that a lot of inhabitants will now follow a CPR-course for free, organized by these volunteers.

As Saving Lives Foundation, we are glad that the AED will be placed under the right circumstances and in the right village where people take care of each other with a great heart!

HSV De Dobber is a fishing club located in Hardenberg. Not only do they facilitate legal fishing locations for their members, but they also regularly organize tournaments that attract a much larger and broader audience. Because the fishing venues are often in remote locations, it is even more important to be aware of where the closest AED is located. The Saving Lives Foundation also donated an outdoor cabinet. By keeping the AED outside in a cabinet it isn’t only kept in a protective environment to ensure the best performance, but it will also be accessible to residents. In this way a much larger group of people will benefit from our donation.

The Saving Lives Foundation was established to help companies and organisations such as HSV De Dobber to own a public AED. Thanks to the donations that are made to the saving Lives Foundation, we are able to work towards our goal. Namely, ensuring that by 2030 everyone will have access to an AED within 6 minutes. Because In case of cardiac arrest every second counts!

We are extremely happy that we were able to make another donation at the start of 2023. With your help we will be able to make a lot more donations in 2023. This tennis club is situated in a wooded area on the beach, where there are a lot of sports venues and many tourists. The defibrillator will be placed on the outside fence of the tennis club, ensuring that it is always accessible to everyone.

We think that the defibrillator has been given a good place, allowing many more people access to the device. Of course we always hope that the device does not have to be used in the future.
